Dottie’s visit:              

Dottie the school dog came to visit out class. She was very well-behaved and we took turns to stroke her and give her a treat. 

                              

 

Making cakes: 

We sang the rhyme: ‘Miss Polly had a Dolly’, where we learnt that Miss Polly’s dolly was poorly. We each made a card and then worked together to bake and decorate cakes, to help the dolly feel better. 

 

                            

 

Parent sessions – Literacy & Numbers: 

We invited parents in, to share in their child’s learning. We had a Literacy workshop, where we showed parents how we teach early Phonics and share stories, and Number workshop, showing them how we teach early Number concepts. The parents then took part with their children in related activities. 

              

A Local Area Walk 

F1 Children and parents walked to Braunstone Park to look for signs of autumn.  We saw lots of different shaped and coloured leaves, and found conkers, acorns and mushrooms! We saw red berried on the trees and little purple flowers. We had lots of fun and enjoyed being out in the fresh air!
